Mr Ray Pace will deliver a power point presentation, titled ‘The Amateur Astronomer and Telescope’, which demonstrates the work carried out through amateur telescopes with some background on the physical principles of light and optics, and basic astronomy.  The idea is to help students appreciate physics as a subject by seeing its application in the hobby of observational astronomy.
