Amateur astronomers will set up telescopes, give explanations and present audiovisual presentations at an observation session being held today at 8.30 p.m. at the promenade at Għar id-Dud, Sliema, organised by the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) 2009 Malta committee. Through the activity Malta will be joining over 130 other countries in the 100 Hours of Astronomy project, a worldwide astronomy marathon aimed at bringing astronomy to the public which is on track to be the largest single science public outreach event ever.
